I am going to tell you about my insignificant life. My name is Amy, and I am a dreamer from a beautiful island (located inbetween England and Ireland) Known to foreigners from "Across" as The Isle of Man, But to Locals as "The Rock". There is a cosy population of about 80,000 everybody knows each others buisness and if something happens everyone knows about it. It is known as The Rock due to it's lack of activities for the youth of the isle, this probably is the reason that statistics state we are the worst place in Europe for underage drinking. Partys are seen a normal thing to attend on the island for most people above thirteen, it's just the done thing, from a young age people drink, it is basically accepted by most people.
There is only one place to go on a Saturday, Town. A double decker red bus full of pensioners downstairs and "Cool" teenagers upstairs littering the back of the bus (I'll inform you of the bus popularity system, if you are not currently aware the system goes that the cool people sit upstairs at the back, the kind popular people sit in the middle upstairs and under no circumbstances does anyone but nerds or 5 year olds sit at the front upstairs. Downstairs young people classed as normal sit at the back, the rest of the bus is just for the old ladys and gents.) drops you into Douglas hardly a place you would wish to visit twice, but it's where Town is. Town is one street of shops the length of your little toe. Sadly this is the best we have, This is where most socialising is done and it is also the only place to buy any decent clothes reasonable enough to be seen in.
In a nutshell that is the isle of man, two words that describe our activities: Drinking + Town.
I am fifteen, so am at the young age of really looking forward to sitting my exams. Yeah right.
Anyway i am going to write a blog.
My blog will just tell you those things you never thought you needed to know, and still don't need to. It will tell you about my year. It shall be a story of my year, what happens, i have lots of plans, and i am going to tell you how they all work out.
